Provincial loan seals 60 new jobs at Richmond Hill company
A provincial loan will help Richmond Hill-based food processor Protenergy Natural Foods Corporation create 60 new jobs.
The announcement was made by Richmond Hill MPP Reza Moridi at Protenergy headquarters Friday, stating the provincial government will provide $6.6 million from its Open Ontario Plan, to the natural foods corporation, which supplies leading retailers and manufacturers with soups, broths and sauces.
The loan will also support 10 existing positions and will help Protenergy invest in new processing and packaging technologies to increase its manufacturing capacity, lower production costs and enhance its ability to introduce new product lines.
